Edam is a young blind girl living through a reality no child should ever have to experience.

Despite being unable to see, she is forced to work every single day under extremely difficult conditions, surrounded by dust, heat, danger, and relentless physical labor.

Edam and her family have been trapped in a system of generational brick kiln slavery for approximately 142 years, with debt and forced labor being passed down from one generation to the next.

She was born into a debt she never created — and a life she never chose.

💔 Edam’s Reality

In this system, children can inherit the debts of their parents and grandparents, trapping entire families in a cycle that can last for generations.

Children grow up around brick kilns and construction sites, where they are expected to perform exhausting physical work from an early age.

Many are forced to help mold and move hundreds or even thousands of heavy bricks every day simply to keep their families from falling further into debt.

For Edam, the situation is even more devastating.

She is blind, yet she is still expected to work.

🕯️ The Moment We Found Her

During our rescue mission in Afghanistan, we saw firsthand how deeply this system affects families.

When we found Edam working despite living in complete darkness, we could not ignore what was happening.

Seeing a blind child forced into hard labor broke our hearts.

We knew we could not simply walk away and leave her behind.

🤝 Our Partnership & Progress

To give Edam and her family a real chance at freedom, we partnered with the American nonprofit organization Whole Human Collective.

Thanks to the generosity of our early supporters, $1,000 has already been raised.

This support has allowed us to begin providing initial assistance, but it is only the first step.

To fully secure freedom, medical care, safe housing, education, and long-term stability for Edam and her family, we need to reach our full goal of $10,000.
